Defending champions Kano Pillars Wednesday retain their leadership on the Glo Nigeria Premier League table with a 3-0 trashing of visiting ABS FC in Kano.

The Sai Masu team bounced back from last weekend’s loss to 3SC away from home.

Mannir Ubale open the scoring in the 17th minute to give Pillars a first half lead at the Sanni Abacha Stadium.

Pillars continue their dominant in the second and double their lead over the Saraki Boys through Buhari Musa strike in the 58th minute.

Mercurial midfielder Rabiu Ali completed the rout of their opponent with the third goal of the game in the 83rd minute.

The Nigeria Super Eagles ‘B’ player curled in a direct free-kick to seal the win and maximum points for the host. Ali has now take his tally to eight goals in the Nigeria League this season.

Kano Pillars now have 42 points from 24 matches. They also have an outstanding game against Akwa United slated for September 4 in Kano.
