Lobi Stars pip struggling 3SC 1-0 in a matchday 23 game played at the Emmanuel Akume Atongo Stadium, Katsina Ala on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Lobi forward Barnabas Imenger Jnr. came on from the bench to give Lobi Stars a crucial victory against 3SC.
The Oluyole Warriors held on to 0-0 draw till the 74th minute as Lobi Stars find it difficult to break the defence of the Ibadan club.
But the introduction of Imenger Jnr dashed 3SC hope of sharing the spoils has he scored the back-breaking match winner to hand all three points to the home team.
Lobi Stars are now 15th on the table with 29 points while 3SC are in the relegation zone, 17th with 27 points from 23 matches.
The Oluyole Warriors are on winless streak in their last four games in the league having drawn two and lost two respectively.
3SC will now shift attention to their week 24 tie against leader Kano Pillars at the Lekan Salami Adamasingba’ Stadium, Ibadan.
