Kwara United forward Segun Alebiosu will be out of action for four weeks, a top official of the club has revealed.
The 18 years old striker was stretchered off the pitch during the Afonja Warriors’ match day 23 tie with Sharks of Port Harcourt in Ilorin.
Alebiosu came on from the bench as a second half substitute and only played for five minutes after a collision with Sharks Gabriel Olalekan left his ankle badly injured.
Kwara United Coach Samson Unuanel said the hard tackle on his player would rule him out for three to four weeks, according to the doctors of the club.
“Alebiosu is still admitted at the hospital. We thank God that the bone was not damaged but from the last discussion I had with the doctors, he won’t be able to play for the next three or four weeks.
“He will be at the hospital for a few more days under close watch,” said Unuanel.
Kwara United played a goalless draw against Sharks last Saturday and are now 6th on the log with 35 points from 23 matches.
