Nigeria Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has omitted six players for this weekend’s CHAN qualifier against Cote d’Ivoire in Abidjan.
Striker Gambo Mohammed, who opened scoring when the home-based Eagles defeated Cote d’Ivoire 4-1 in the first leg in Kaduna, has been dropped due to an injury.
El Kanemi Warriors forward, Haruna Babalo from who has been nursing an injury also failed to make the final 18-man list.
Jiya Mohammed of Bayelsa United, Ganiyu Ogungbe of Kwara United, Ezekiel Bassey of Lobi Stars and finally, Sunshine Stars hotshot Dele Olorundare are the other players that will not make the trip to Abidjan on Thursday.
However, Flying Eagles striker Alhaji Gero and Kano Pillars playmaker Rabiu Ali were among the final 18-man squad.
