Eight-time African champions, Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face world champions Japan in a two-match friendly series in September.

The NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu revealed during the launch of the Football house headquaters in Abuja. Amadu revealed that an agreement had been reached between both countries, and the games would be played in two Japanese cities.

The first game will be held on September 22 at Nagasaki Prefectural Sports Park Track and Field Stadium in Isahaya, while the second will take place on September 26 at Fukuda Denshi Arena in Chiba.

“We will name a new coach soon, and I believe that whichever coach is selected to run the Falcons, will use this game as an opportunity to test the new plays that will be called to camp in order to rebuild the team to what they used to be and prepare for the AWC in Namibia next year,” he said.

The Nigeria Super Falcons are without a coach since the exit of Kadiri Ikhana last year.
