Enyimba Int’l FC booked a passage to the quarter final of the 2013 Federation Cup competition after a comfortable 3-1 victory over 3SC in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Peoples Elephant took the lead through Sokari Kingsley strike in the 23rd minute before Andrew Abalogu double the lead for Enyimba in the 45th minute to end the first half 2-0.
In the second half, Amanfor Chimezie took the game beyond the Oluyole Warriors when he scored in the 55th minutes to give the Aba Millionaires a commanding 3-0 lead.
3SC forward, Gbolahan Salami reduced the deficit in the 64th minute but was not enough to rescue the Ibadan club as the match ended 3-1 in favour of the the better side, Enyimba.
Enyimba are on four matches unbeaten run while 3SC have failed to win three out of their last four games.
3SC, having crashed out of the Federation Cup will now shift attention to their NPFL week 23 fixture against Lobi Stars on August 3rd.
