Glo Premier League clubs, Dolphins FC, El-Kanemi Warriors, and Kaduna United suffered defeats in their Federation Cup round of 32 games on Wednesday, while the likes of Enyimba, Heartland, Shooting Stars, Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars progressed to the next round of the competition.

Four time winners Dolphins of Port Harcourt were dumped out by Akwa Starlets 4-2 on penalties after the regulation time had ended goalless at Umuahia while Kaduna United slumped to a 1-2 loss against NNL side, Abia Warriors to end their Cup dream.

In Niger, Gbolahan Salami’s early goal was all 3SC needed to dump out Juth FC while Kano Pillars came from a first-half goal to beat Premier League rivals El Kanemi Warriors 2-1.

Cup holders, Heartland, edged out non-league outfit, Ingas FC 1-0 via Bright Ejike’s goal in Enugu.
