Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan have stated that they will not be appealing the three-match behind closed door ban and other sanctions imposed on the club officials.
The Oluyole Warriors were ordered to play their next three home matches under lock and key from their teeming fans after they were charged with assaulting match officials during their week 20 fixture against Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium which ended 1-1.
3SC midfielder Philip Asuquo, and Team Manager Ajibade Babalade, were both handed six match suspension by the NFF’s Organizing and Disciplinary Committee(ODC) for attacking the centre referee, Chrisantus Okoro from Imo State.
“What are we to do? We are going to appeal the decision of the Disciplinary Committee. We shall use the ban to do a review of ourselves and try to take the positive side of the ban to come back stronger.
“The Oyo State FA, our supporters and the affected player and officials must have also learnt their lessons too.
“We shall not allow that deter us at all as we aim to improve from our latest position on the league table. We are not going to allow that to dampen our morale at all,” Arowolo told Goal.
3SC are placed 15th on the Glo Premier League table with 26 points from 21 games.
