Shooting Stars Sporting club (3SC) have continued their tradition of giving their opinions on the performance of match officials after their away game.

The ‘Oluyole Warriors’ are giving a bug thumbs up to centre referee, Ferdinand Udoh from Bayelsa for his fair and firm officiating of the crucial encounter against Enugu Rangers in a rescheduled Week 13 league game played on Wednesday in Enugu.

Shooting Stars, Ibadan-based club lost 2-0 to Enugu Rangers but the officials of the Ibadan side were happy that the officiating was not biased despite the defeat at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.

Rangers forward Oghogho Odoukpe tucked away a penalty in the 79th minute after Dada Bitrus was pulled down inside the box, before Ugonna Uzochukwu seal the victory for the home side with his stoppage time strike.

According to Jubril Arowolo, the Media Officer of Shooting Stars, Udoh did a good job and should be commended.

“We had terrible officiating at Aba, and the whole of Africa saw it. We also had questionable calls at Port Harcourt against Dolphins.

The Flying Antelopes’ are now 10th on the league table with 27 points from 17 matches, while Shooting Stars drop to 16, with 25 points from 19 matches.
